The wine is created from Israel’s beloved Syrah grapes, grown in the vineyards of the cool Golan Heights and a splash of Viognier adds to the wine’s aromatic complexity.
The Gamla Nature Syrah Rosé 2013 joins the vintage of Gamla wines which have quickly become bestsellers in Israel and abroad. Two exceptionally popular vinos in the Gamla series are the Gamla Cabernet Sauvignon and the Gamla Chardonnay. Both have become flagships of the Israeli wine success story which is a classic tale of triumphing in the face of adversity, celebrated in the landscape and produce of the Golan Heights Winery.
The Gamla series has risen to popularity due to its diverse and worldly varieties, from the Mediterranean-style Gamla Sangiovese, to the rich and fruity Gamla Syrah and the method champagne sparkling Gamla Brut, which was recently awarded for its excellence in the Mundus Vini wine competition in Germany. Building on this success the Golan Heights Winery decided to expand the Gamla series to include its first rosé, the Gamla Nature Syrah Rosé 2013. The Gamla Nature Syrah Rosé 2013 is ready to drink upon release and best consumed within a few years of vintage. It is a deliciously aromatic wine exhibited by a mix of fresh strawberry, cherry, red apple, red grapefruit and watermelon fruit characters, along with rose petal highlights. A versatile companion to food, the wine goes wonderfully with meals as assorted as flavorful tapas, fresh grilled fish and steamy barbequed meats, as well as Indian and Korean dishes with a bit of spice to them.
