The Tokidoki of Karl Lagerfeld

karl_lagerfeld_tokidoki_doll_fp‘In my perception there is no difference between German, English or French. If someone walked in now and addressed me in French, I would not need to switch. I do not have any barrier between the languages. They all join seaminlessly together. I do not draw dividing lines in language.’

Karl Lagerfeld, icon of style, Modeikone

 – I am very flattered that I became tokidoki. I always loved them and I am very happy to be one of them ! – says Karl Lagerfeld, who is known to always have his fingers on the pulse of modern pop culture and likes Japanese inspired art. Tokidoki, what means ‘sometimes’ in Japanese, was born in 2005 from the imagination of Italian artist Simone Legno.
